Why is Rapid7 ending support for tCell Agents on CentOS 6.0?

CentOS 6 went EOL in November of 2020. In order to keep our customers secure, Rapid7 ends support of platforms and environments which are no longer supported by the upstream vendor. Such deprecated platforms often no longer receive security updates, leading to vulnerable systems that could impact the integrity of Agents running on them.

What do I do if I currently run Agents on CentOS 6.0?

You will need to upgrade the host operating system to CentOS 7.0 or higher, migrate to a different operating system, or uninstall the Agent.

Any customers running Agents on CentOS 6.0 will not experience an interruption in support requests until the end of 2021. You can contact your CSM for options after the last date of support.

Who can I contact if I have more questions that are not addressed in this announcement?
