This release includes an upgrade of the Insight Agent's Agent Core component and defect fixes.

Improved

  • We upgraded the Agent Core component  to more reliably maintain its connectivity to the Rapid7 Platform and address a memory leak issue. Note: the Agent Core component is responsible for managing the communications between the endpoint and the Insight Platform.

Fixed

  • We fixed an issue where trying to enumerate users on Windows hosts with thousands of users caused InsightVM data collection to fail.

  • We fixed an issue where the Insight Agent failed to start on Windows systems that do not have the PATHEXT environment variable set.
