Upgrade to Python and OpenSSL: We upgraded the Insight Agent's Python version to 3.11.7 and OpenSSL version to 3.0.11 to leverage new libraries and improve security and performance. Rapid7 recommends applying this update as it addresses multiple security issues in Python and OpenSSL.
Windows File System Search Improvement: We improved the Windows file system traversal which uses Rapid7's in-house
fswalkcommand so that it is not affected by execution timeouts in the Insight Agent.
Fixed
Duplicate Log Collection: We fixed an issue on single core machines where duplicate log lines may be uploaded to the Rapid7 Platform.
Directory Clean Up: We fixed an issue where the Insight Agent can fail to delete temporary directories after finishing data collection processes.
