- Microsoft Patch Tuesday coverage. This release includes new Microsoft Patch Tuesday content for updated scan coverage for August 2024. Check out our blog post for details.
- VMware credential type. We added a new credential type, VMware vCenter/ESXi, that allows the Scan Engine to collect the data required for policy assessments via API, instead of via SSH (which was previously required).
Improved
- Asset Listing page UI. We updated the user experience for the Security Console’s Asset Listing page. Changes include:
- Improved data visualization and chart readability
- Inclusion of Fully Qualified Domain Name information for assessed assets
- Improved page navigation
- Option to view the page in both light and dark mode
- Cisco Secure Client fingerprinting. We updated the Cisco Secure Client fingerprinter to cover additional versioning formats.
- Java Runtime Environment (JRE). We improved InsightVM's security posture by upgrading the JRE included with the Scan Engine and Security Console to Zulu OpenJDK version 1.8.0_422.
- Policy content. We updated our Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Windows Server 2019 STIG to version 2, release 9.
