This release includes updated DISA policy content, improved scan engine performance, and several fixes.

Improved

  • Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) policy content: We updated the following existing DISA benchmarks:
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 STIG Benchmark - Ver 1, Rel 28
    • Google Chrome for Windows STIG Benchmark - Ver 1, Rel 15
    • Mozilla Firefox for RHEL STIG Benchmark - Ver 1, Rel 7
    • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 STIG Benchmark - Ver 1, Rel 2
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 STIG Benchmark - Ver 1, Rel 8
    • Solaris 11 SPARC STIG Benchmark - Ver 1, Rel 15
    • Solaris 11 X86 STIG Benchmark - Ver 1, Rel 15
  • Improved Scan Engine performance: We improved Scan Engine memory utilization for vulnerability content when the Scan Engine is at rest.

Fixed

  • We fixed an issue that prevented policy rules from running if they required a database service.
  • We fixed our fingerprint for Microsoft SQL 2014 to correctly identify Service Pack 3.
  • We fixed an issue where scanning a Citrix Workspace Chrome plugin would incorrectly produce a fingerprint for Google Chrome.
  • We fixed an issue where scanning a Telnet service on port 23 would incorrectly produce a fingerprint for Subseven.
