New
- Next-Generation Antivirus installers for Windows OS are now provided as MSI packages, replacing the existing batch file installer. View the installation documentation for details.
- Next-Generation Antivirus is now installed using two MSI files.
- The MSI package can be deployed using common third party deployment tools (for example SCCM, Intune, Automox) and does not require restart at any stage of installation, upgrade or uninstallation.
- If Auto-Updates are enabled for your organization, the MSI package can be used to upgrade existing versions of Next-Generation Antivirus that are already installed, both manually and remotely.
Improved
- We improved performance issues caused by the On-Access Scan (Antivirus) engine.
Fixed
Windows
- We fixed an issue where the On-Access Scan (Antivirus) engine service can freeze when settings are updated from the Command Platform.
- We fixed an issue where the Next-Generation Antivirus service was not following a new Agent Client ID for VDI cloning, resulting in a single Next-Generation Antivirus asset record in the Prevention Groups Management that receives the default settings.
- Slowdown performance caused by the On-Access scan engine has not been reduced by an exclusion for this engine, as exclusions did not prevent the scan engine from operating on the excluded files.
macOS and Linux
- We fixed an issue where the Antivirus Health status in the Assets table were shown as Poor even though signatures were up to date and the engine was running correctly.
