Cloud Security (InsightCloudSec) requires you to connect your cloud accounts to the Command Platform so Rapid7 can securely harvest your cloud infrastructure and begin to monitor for misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, risk, and more.

You must connect a cloud account

When you open Cloud Security (InsightCloudSec) for the first time or if you have not successfully connected an account, you are automatically prompted to onboard a cloud account. Most Cloud Security (InsightCloudSec) functionality requires a cloud account.

To connect a cloud account:

  1. From the Command Platform, go to Data Connectors > Cloud Accounts.
  2. Click Add Cloud.
  3. Select a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) to begin the onboarding process.
