NSX Manager End-of-Life announcement
As of February 8th, 2020, Rapid7 will no longer support NSX Manager in Nexpose. The NSX Manager feature will be removed from the Security Console at that time.
NSX Manager previously enabled the integration of Security Console scanning functionality with the VMware NSX network virtualization platform, which gave Scan Engines direct access to an NSX network of virtual assets.
Solution Going Forward
Instead of using NSX manager, you can scan VMware instances just as you would with any other asset using a Scan Engine and site configuration. Before implementing this method, you'll need to manually configure scan credentials to your VMware assets now that NSX Manager has no role in the process. See the Configuring Scan Credentials documentation for instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you have additional questions not listed here, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our Support team.
Why is Rapid7 removing the NSX Manager feature from Nexpose?
The integration doesn’t support recent NSX Manager versions and the integration scope was limited to certain versions of Windows systems. The Scan Engine is already capable of running credentialed scans on VMware assets.
What is a Scan Engine?
A Scan Engine is an on-premises tool used by the Security Console to scan network assets and check them for vulnerabilities and policy compliance.
