Add Notes to an Alert

You can add notes, as text or uploaded files, to an alert that can be seen by internal users. Each note is accompanied by the name of the note creator. Other users can reply to notes. Alert notes remain with the alert, even after it is closed or otherwise remediated.

You can copy an existing alert note by clicking temporary placeholder.

Alert notes are displayed in the Alert options section.

You can add a note to a single alert or to many alerts at one time.

To add a note to a single alert:

  1. From the Alerts list, select an alert.
  2. From the Alert options section, click test.
    The alert notes are displayed.
  3. Click Add Note.
  4. Type note text or drag a supported file to the note.
    The following file types are supported: CSV, DOC, DOCX, EML, JPEG, JPG, MSG, PDF, PNG, and TXT
  5. Click Save.

The note is added to the alert.

To add a note to multiple alerts:

  1. From the Alerts list, select multiple alerts, as described in Perform Actions on Multiple Alerts.
  2. From the Bulk actions toolbar click test then click test.
  3. Type note text or drag a supported file to the note.
    The following file types are supported: CSV, DOC, DOCX, EML, JPEG, JPG, MSG, PDF, PNG, and TXT
  4. Click Add Note.
