Dashboards
Dashboards are specialized, overall views of your network in a customizable, drag-and-drop interface. Choose from several pre-built Rapid7 options or start fresh with your own.
Click the Dashboard tab in your navigation menu to access this feature.
Create
Click the dashboard title bar to expand the selection menu. You can build a new dashboard from the following methods:
Start from a template
- Browse to “Rapid7 Recommends These Dashboard Templates”.
- Click See More in the R7 Library.
- Click Add next to your desired template.
- Name your dashboard.
- If desired, adjust the description.
- Click OK.
Start from scratch
- Click Create a New Dashboard.
- Name your dashboard.
- If desired, add a description.
- Click OK.
Customize
Dashboards are powered by individual cards, each of which has been designed to present live monitoring data in a specific way. You can customize the cards on your dashboards in the following ways:
Add cards
- Click the + Add Card button in the upper-right corner of your dashboard.
- Browse the card list by selecting a category, or refine by searching for keywords.
- Check the box next to any and all desired cards that you want to add.
- Click Add.
Remove cards
- Click the trash icon on the card you want to remove.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Organize cards
All dashboard cards are draggable. Click and hold the title bar of any card to drag it to another position on your dashboard.
Manage
You can delete, duplicate, and edit any dashboard that you have created, as well as grant access to other users in your organization.
Delete a dashboard
- Click the trash icon on your dashboard title bar.
- Click OK to confirm.
Duplicate a dashboard
- Click the stack icon on your dashboard title bar.
- Name your duplicate dashboard.
- If desired, adjust the description.
- Click OK.
Edit a dashboard
Click the pencil icon on your dashboard title bar to edit the name and description of your dashboard. You can also elect to share it with others users.
Export Dashboards to PDF
You can export dashboard cards to PDF for distribution or archival storage. Click Export to PDF to take a snapshot of your dashboards (your cards will be in the same order) and save them as PDFs. Once in PDF form, you can distribute electronically or in print.
