Add a Watcher to Alerts

You can add someone to watch an alert, even if they wouldn't normally have permissions for that alert type.

An alert watcher has access to the alert and is notified for any changes by notification and emails. This way, the watcher can follow the alert’s handling progress.

You can add a watcher to one alert or to many alerts at one time.

To add a watcher to a single alert:

1. From the Alerts list,  select an alert.
2. From the Alert header, click then select who to add.

The watcher is notified of their appointment as watcher for this alert.

To add a watcher to multiple alerts:

1. From the Alerts list, select multiple alerts, as described in Perform Actions on Multiple Alerts.
2. From the Bulk actions toolbar, click  then select who to add.

The watcher is notified of their appointment as watcher for these alerts.

To see who is watching an alert:

1. From the Alerts list, select an alert.
2. From the Alert header, click .
   The list of watchers is displayed.
