This release fixes a software fingerprinting issue affecting product version 6.6.81.
Fixed
We fixed an issue introduced in product version 6.6.81 that could cause software fingerprinting in a scan template to be inadvertently disabled in the following scenarios:
- When distributed Scan Engines or Scan Engine pools load the scan template specified in the site configuration
- When a user creates a copy of an existing pre-built or custom scan template
This issue also prevented the Security Console interface from accurately reflecting this changed state. Be aware that any scan template copies created by users while the Security Console was on product version 6.6.81 as noted in the second scenario will continue to be affected by this issue. To address this, update your Security Console to 6.6.82 and recreate any scan template copies as needed.
